My photographs are for the moment and for the future.  A romantic at heart, I look for those sweet spontaneous events; the glance, kiss, hug, grabbing of the hand, touching of the cheek and tearful smile.

Modern times have opened up the world of imagery and photography.  People carry their families and friends with them electronically.  They house their history and memories in their email, on a CD or thumb drive / flash drive, in their computer, on their phone, PDA, or run them perpetually on their electronic picture frame on their desk at work.  Photo albums are becoming obsolete to some, and nostalgic to for others.    

I encourage all of the above.   Each offering is own benefits.  The convenience of being able to access hundreds of photos by a touch of a key, an insertion of a media device, or the tactile pleasure of turning each page of a carefully compiled wedding or family photo album.  

Each view of a carefully composed photo at the right time, in the right place at the right moment, captured an emotion or event to be treasured for a lifetime.

She spilled a drink, but it’s the photo of the bride and groom (her parents) complete in full wedding garb bending down to clean up the spill, while their toddler watches, that captured my heart.  The innocence of youth and the love and patience of parenthood which in days to follow will trigger giggles as this photograph is shared with family and friends.

ABOUT US

A Native of the Miami Valley Area, I (Karen Baughman) have traveled all over the U.S. and parts of Canada and used these experiences to take advantage of the opportunity of photographing much of it.  "I have spend several years honing my craft and doing photos for family and friends and for my own memories. 

I consider myself a pepetual student and continue to study and experiment with new and different photographic techniques in order to add a more artistic flair or enhance the  beauty of the photo image.  I have used my camera to add fun and motivation to my fellow employees with my former employer by taking portraits and group activity photos.

I love to explore ways of merging my artistic desires with the technical skills to enhance the photograpic image. I love capturing special moments, the glint or tear in the eye, the smile on the face, the look that tells what is in the heart and mind."
